ISM Event Overview - Build a Sustainable Culture of Coaching and Growth

Most schools pride themselves on prioritizing professional development for faculty, yet many struggle to build a system that sustains meaningful growth year after year.

The key to bridging this gap is already sitting in your classrooms: your own talented faculty.

In this virtual workshop, you will explore how to cultivate a team of faculty leaders who coach and support one another. Discover practical ways to create a collaborative and collegial faculty community committed to meaningful professional growth every school year.

This workshop builds on the ISM Faculty Evaluation & Growth Framework. To get the most from the experience, participants must have completed our prior workshop, How to Implement Transformative Faculty Growth and Development, or have learned the framework through another ISM event.

This workshop includes 7.5 hours of instructional time, and participants meet for synchronous learning at 11:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m., 1:30–2:45 p.m., and 3:15–4:30 p.m. Eastern time each day of the workshop.

In this virtual workshop you will:

Develop a cohort of growth coaches who ask insightful questions that encourage deep reflection.
Inspire faculty to expand their approach and take confident risks in their teaching.
Motivate and encourage teachers to continually grow in their practice.
Expand your leadership capacity by developing a team of coaches with the enthusiasm and skills to help teachers set and achieve meaningful growth goals.
Ensure that every faculty member is encouraged and supported.
